Computers can slow down or act erratically for a number of reasons; there may be a hardware failure... most drives have moving parts that wear with time, and electronic components can eventually burn out.

But the most common cause of problems is infection by malware (viruses, worms and spyware), especially if you use the internet a lot.  The effects of malware can significantly effect your PC's performance and puts both your data and privacy at risk.

Protecting your PC

With all re-formats and health checks we will load a suite of FREE anti-virus, firewall and spyware blockers.  They are free to update and should help to keep your PC problem free.

Repairs & upgrades:
Diagnosis:  We operate a no-fix, no-fee, policy.  We will examine the machine, then give you an estimate and our recommendation.  If we are unable to carry out the work within your budget, there is no charge and no obligation!

Installation:  Wherever purchased, we only make a small charge to install additional or replacement parts.

Formatting / Windows re-loads:
In extreme cases you may have to have your hard drive re-formatted and the Windows operating system re-installed.
£35.00 with hardware driver discs.
£45.00 if you don't have the driver discs.
 (We can ONLY install licensed software!  If yours is  unlicensed, we can provide an official version at cost.)

PC health checks:
We bly suggest setting aside a budget to have your PC checked and serviced at least twice a year, especially if you use the internet frequently, or download music and films.

If you run a business, you should have your PCs cleaned more frequently; at least every 3 months.  We offer the same monthly payment plan with;

• Quarterly health checks
• Overnight service
• Record of workstation details
• Performance and usage report
• Optional data back-up

Home network set-up:
If you are struggling with your broadband or home network, why not avoid the stress and have us set-up the system for you?  Most set-ups will take around one hour (make sure you have the user name and password supplied by your service provider), but if we are unable to complete the process for any reason we will return to complete the job at our cost!
